Myths and FearsThere are many fears and misunderstandings about the use of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Hypnosis means 'trance and is a perfectly natural state. How often have you been driving and realise you can't remember anything of the journey? This is a trance state.HypnotherapyIt is completely safe.You have to want to be hypnotised.It is a natural state of heightened awareness.You do not become unconscious or go to sleep.If you don't want to tell the therapist something whilst under hypnosis, you won't.You can come out of a trance at anytime, nobody can make you stay 'under'.If you were left in a trance state you would either fall into a natural sleep or wake-up.To be hypnotised you don't have to have a weak will.Everyone is susceptable to hypnosis.The participation of a subject has to be by their consent.You cannot be made to tell the truth under hypnosis.Under hypnosis you cannot be 'made' to do anything you don't want to do, or that goes against your moral judgement, or something that you object to.

EFT & Meridian & Energy Therapies

EFT - Emotional Freedom Therapy was developed by Gary Craig and came over to this country in 1995. Although a relatively new complimentary therapy it is based on accupuncture as it uses the same meridian points, and this has been around for thousands of years!!

EFT is a gentle but powerful tool that you can learn to use on yourself with the help of a qualified practitioner and you'll be pleased to know it involves tapping rather than needles!

The foundation of EFT comes from Gary Craig's discovery statement:

"The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases"

About meI’'m a complementary therapist and help people with their fears, anxieties, habits, low self-esteem, confidence and stress.I provide a breadth of therapeutic methods that include Hypnotherapy, EFT, Relaxation Therapy and Stress Management, helping you to feel more balanced and in control of your life.This allows a unique programme of therapy tailored to you and this is provided in a safe and confidential environmentHow did I come up with the name? When I was growing up we had a huge willow tree in our garden and both my brother and I used to love playing under it, believing that no-one could see us, it brings back happy memories. It is also the tree that represents my birth month March. I also liked some of the meanings that a willow tree symbolises and felt it’s what I wanted my business to signify.–"very empathetic, loves anything beautiful, honest, good intuition, dreamer (oops) and has the ability to banish depression and sadness."I started off my career working in offices, research, analysis, quality management and training and started to feel I wanted more. I have always enjoyed trying to help people and decided to train as a hypnotherapist. I then got the bug! I have since qualified as an EFT Practitioner, Relaxation Therapist, Stress Consultant and now I'm a licensed hypno-band practitioner, and with 50 years life experience allows me to offer a unique program to help you with whatever ‘problem’ you have.It is important to me that people feel safe and comfortable so that they can relax and make the most of their precious time, and hopefully at the end of their session feel more balanced and in control of their lives.
