What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation, a trained hypnotherapist
will utilise this state to help a client to resolve their condition.
Is it safe?
It is completely safe, in fact we all have been in a 'trance' state at one time or another (day dreaming etc)
although we don't associate it with hypnosis.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
As long as you are willing and allow yourself to concentrate on the process, almost anyone can be
hypnotised.
Do people lose control?
No, under hypnosis you are completely aware of all their surroundings and can react to
sound, smell, touch etc. you will not divulge personal details that you don't want to and you cannot
be forced to divulge anything either.
Can I use hypnotherapy instead of seeing a doctor?
No, hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy and as such people should combine hypnosis with conventional
medicine. Should a person be on medication for a condition they should seek professional medical
advice first. Hypnotherapy is not an alternative to medical care.
