Willow Tree Therapies

Prioritising your well-being

About Me

Based in Bretton, Peterborough, I offer massage therapy in serene surroundings.  My goal is to ensure your precious 'me time' is as relaxing and restorative as possible.

It’s fair to say I’m a bit of a late bloomer in the world of complementary therapies. I followed a traditional path of studying for a degree and then entered the Peterborough workforce in my early twenties.  I found my way into the world of Insurance around 20 years ago, and built myself a successful career, taking on more and more responsibility as I went. It was only when faced with full-on burnout that I even questioned the route I had taken. My sleep was poor, my fitness and nutrition neglected, and my body was always full of tension and stress.

I’ve always been interested in well-being, and it’s been heartening to see the rise of the importance of self-care in our society over recent years. I began to ask myself, ‘how can I redress the balance in my life, and feel like I’m supporting others to do the same’?

From there, the kernel of Willow Tree Therapies was born. Training for my diploma and working at the same time was demanding, but incredibly rewarding. I learnt amazing things about the human body, and realised how fabulously different we all are. Massage and complementary therapies has become a passion, and each time a client tells me how much better they feel, how relaxed, how much more easeful in their body, it fills me with joy.

My Approach

Massage can be beneficial in so many ways, from providing physical relief from muscular aches and pains to soothing away stress and anxiety. Life can be tough on both our bodies and our minds, and I aim to provide a haven where you can relax and forget about the outside world.

I'll work with you to understand your needs and what you want from your treatment, and I will check in with you to make sure the massage is just right for you.

I'll talk to you about your health and well-being, and explain each step of the massage process so you know exactly what to expect and how to get the best out of your experience.

What is Swedish Massage?

Otherwise known as ‘classic’ massage, Swedish massage is an incredibly popular and accessible style of massage.  It involves a combination of strokes, kneading, and other rhythmic movements to relieve muscular tension and induce relaxation.

My full body treatment is the perfect recipe for relaxation, incorporating legs, feet, back, abdomen, arms, shoulders, neck, face and head. The treatment can be adapted to suit your needs, to ensure you receive the right level of focus in the areas that need most work.

Pushed for time?  No problem, choose from my range of shorter, more focussed treatments.

Well-being as Priority

If you're simply looking for a one-off pick-me-up, a massage is a wonderful way to recharge. I’d be delighted to see you and there’s absolutely no obligation to re-book.

There’s much to be said, though, for building on the longer-term benefits that come with making massage a regular part of your self-care routine. This can be especially true if you’re managing a medium or long-term issue that impacts your health and well-being.

Just as we wouldn’t expect lasting results from a single gym session or a one-off therapy appointment, the true benefits of massage come with consistency. Our bodies, much like our minds, respond best to regular care. A single massage can provide immediate relief, but regular treatments help to retrain tense muscles, support posture and circulation, and build resilience against everyday stress. Just as consistent exercise builds strength and stamina, or regular therapy helps create emotional clarity and resilience, scheduling regular massage sessions can make an important contribution to your physical and emotional well-being.

Regular massage is not just an indulgence — it’s maintenance, care, and support in a world that often demands so much of us. What could a monthly treatment do for you?
